Jose Mourinho, the manager of Fenerbahce, is prepared to add Allan Saint-Maximin as one of his first players.
It was announced last month that Mourinho will take over as the Turkish club’s new head coach.
The goal is for the former manager of Chelsea and Real Madrid to lead Fenerbahce to the league championship for the first time since 2014.
Saint-Maximin, a former winger for Newcastle, has recently been identified by Mourinho as a player who could have an impact.
“José Mourinho wants Allan Saint-Maximin to Fenerbahçe as one of the priority targets, negotiations are ongoing also on the club side,” tweeted football transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano on Tuesday.
“He has given his approval for the relocation and is awaiting a club-to-club agreement.”
