Majin Mohammed: Niger Tornadoes’ loss against Akwa United was unfortunate

Majin Mohammed, interim coach of the Niger Tornadoes, said that bad luck was to blame for his team’s defeat by Akwa United.

At Uyo’s Godswill Akpabio Stadium, the Promise Keepers rolled over the Ikon Allah Boys 4-1.

Mohammed said that Akwa United got more aggressive in their pursuit of a win.

He said his team ignored his pregame warning and lost the match.

He explained that he had warned his team not to form an opinion of Akwa United based on their league standing, which was proven by their performance in the match.

Just call it bad luck; I’ll take the loss personally.

“They came out smoking, which really helped Akwa United, and they really showed that they are desperately in need of points.”
