Posted by According to the Kano State police command, a fire destroyed the Nasarawa Local Government Area Divisional Police Headquarters.
The event took place in the early hours of Monday, according to Mr. Hussaini Gumel, the state commissioner of police, who spoke to NAN in Kano on Monday.
The Divisional Police headquarters was completely destroyed by fire at approximately 05:45 in the morning.
“The State Fire Service responded promptly,” he added.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated, according to Gumel.
The office’s arsenal is well-protected, as the area has been walled off to deter curious onlookers and criminals.
He mentioned that the Divisional Police Officer is currently in the process of organizing some of the documents that are impacted.
