Flying Eagles striker Emmanuel Umeh is on the verge of joining Standard Liege, a Belgian Pro League team.
According to sources, Standard Liege would give Botev Plodiv in Bulgaria €2 million in exchange for the player.
Both Girondis Bordeaux of France and Anderlecht of Belgium were interested in signing the forward.
The 18-year-old has decided to transfer to Standard Liege at this time.
Umeh played for the Flying Eagles during Argentina’s 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup hosting campaign.
Last season, he made 14 league appearances for Botev Plodiv and recorded one goal.
