In an official ceremony, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has opened the Wuye interchange, which spans the Nnamdi Azikiwe Expressway and links the Wuye and Wuse Districts in the FCT.

Part of the festivities commemorating the president’s first anniversary included Thursday’s commissioning ceremony at the recently constructed interchange/link bridge in Wuye District.

During his remarks, Tinubu emphasized the importance of infrastructure development in boosting economic progress and improving the lives of people in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and across Nigeria.

Critical infrastructure in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) is a fulfillment of commitments made to Nigerians, he added, and people-oriented policies are the focus of his government.

After praising the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, for his efforts in bringing the project to fruition, he went on to state that once the engineering infrastructure is finished, traffic flow in Wuye and the surrounding districts of the FCT will be improved.

“The way democracy should work is that the people are the center of our development, and the completion of this project brings governance closer to our people,” he added.

The government’s objective is to succeed and offer happiness to the teeming population, as well as wealth and value to our people in huge scale. Thank you for making this dream a reality.

Wuye District Infrastructure and other ongoing initiatives to improve the quality of life of FCT inhabitants were identified and prioritized by the present FCT Administration upon assumption of office, according to the FCT Minister Wike’s address.
