Manchester City are the favorites to win the Premier League for the fourth year in a row, according to Micah Richards and Jamie Redknapp.
They made their comments following Tuesday night’s 2-0 victory against Tottenham on Sky Sports.
Erling Haaland increased his goal total for the season to 27 with two more goals.
Because of this win, City now leads Arsenal by two points going into the last round of games.
Redknapp and Richards are in agreement that Guardiola’s team would defeat West Ham in David Moyes’ final game in charge.
According to Richards, an ex-City defender, West Ham has little chance of unseating the champs. That is in no way an attack on West Ham.
“In the past few days, I’ve been in that stadium – the moment with Ilkay Gundogan, the one with Sergio Aguero in the penalty shootout, the fans…” Anyhow, I’m thinking Man City.
West Ham has some really excellent players, so I don’t believe we’ll be rolling to a 2-0 or 3-0 victory.
“However, I have faith that Man City will succeed.”
“Arsenal have been incredible but they just haven’t…” commented Redknapp, a former midfielder for Tottenham and Liverpool. a few times things haven’t worked out for them, perhaps at the beginning. In retrospect, you’re forever wondering what-ifs.
Because of their history and the way they’ve done it before, I just don’t see Manchester City tripping up now. They’ve been so excellent, Arsenal, and they’ve pushed them all the way.
