Al Ittihad will submit a new offer for Salah

Before the Saudi Pro League window shuts on Thursday, Al Ittihad is considering making a new offer for Mohamed Salah of Liverpool.

While some senior club executives in Saudi Arabia believe they should wait until next summer to try to recruit Salah, others think it is worthwhile to attempt again.

Any new proposal must first receive the SPL’s approval through its president Saad Al Lazeez and director of football Michael Emenalo.

Al Ittihad made a verbal offer of up to £150 million to Liverpool for Salah on Thursday, but Liverpool has already rejected it.

Jurgen Klopp, the manager of the Reds, stated after their 3-0 victory over Aston Villa on Sunday: “I never had any doubts about his devotion to this club. How calm we are in the face of the world’s uproar is beyond comprehension. He wants to play here and is one of our players.

On Thursday, the SPL window shuts at 10 p.m. UK time.
